A day with a stupid keyboard.

I hate it when I make a typo and I do the little "*" to correct it, and I get it wrong again. And then I still get it wrong the next four times.Example:

me: haha yeah sertousu

me: *serousyl

me: *seriouly

me: UGH

me: ******seriouslt

me: UGH ARE YOU JOKING ME?

me: 8seriously

me: Fuih.I took time to type it that time.

me: WHAT THE-- it's an 8 instead of a "*"

*throws keyboard*

*blocks whoever I was talking to*

URGHH....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The blehh and blehh'er.

A few days ago, I watched this English lesson on the TV Pendidikan channel. It was probably for the primary school kids, but unfortunately I sat and watched till end of the programme. They were speaking with an accent , ala mat salleh while teaching us viewers, about grammar.I couldnt understand what they were teaching :( THEY MADE ME TO FEEL LIKE A DUMB person watching that programme for an hour trying to figure out what they were actually trying to say.Why do they have to make things so complicated?

Now,the history part where 'THEY MADE ME TO FEEL LIKE A DUMB PERSON' comes..

Since small I can never differentiate what is a noun and a verb. I have no idea about grammar rules. By just reading a sentence, I can ‘feel’ if it is wrong or right. By just looking, I can ‘feel’ if the spelling is right or wrong. I can easily remember past tense and present tense but not sure when to use them.

The method of teaching English (or even Bahasa Malaysia) subject evolved so much since errr…30 years ago?

Who are the guilty parties who brought up a generation of Manglish speaking Malaysians? It has to be these too smart alecs who screwed up our future generations. And it could be the parents also.I learnt my almost perfect (I repeat,ALMOSTTTTTT PERFECT) English by just reading, reading, reading.

I read because my mother NEVER told me to. I read because the Government NEVER told me to.Oh wait, they did some campaigns to encourage us to read books, though. But so what?!I ignored all of those campaigns. You seriously think campaigns like that would help,eh..

I started to read when I was 7.I read from Shakespeare to Harold Robbins, Reader’s Digests to some Indian Magazines -I'll get interested to read em by just looking at the celebrities pictures :) and whatever few books my poor school library can offer.

Kids today? Their parents will shove books down their throats as early as…. before they could even er..call em 'mama' or 'papa'. Parents take great pride in showing off their immaculate routine of ‘bedtime story’ . Back then, the only bedtime story I heard from my mother is the home made version of 'patti suttha vadai'.That’s my only bedtime story. I'll post that story soon to share it with ya'all :)

Aightt,I got to go.I think I'm going off topic already, cause at first I ranted on English, then it switched topic to READING and now I'm more interested in sharing my 'patti suttha vadai' story.

G2G

Having English test tomorrow and here I am,still doubting my grammars and etc :( Going to google search for some easy tips on 'HANDLING' em professionally.WUAHHHA.

I do speak TAMIL+MALAY+ENGLISH=TAMANGLISH.Yes I do,just to show people around me that I'm a gempak-languange-mixer-person.HAHHAHA.So yeah,SPEAK TAMANGLISH-LAH!

PS : If you notice any grammar errors on this blog, just keep it to yourself. Thank you. I will ‘feel’ for them and make my own correction.
